- 2016 Bouchard Pere & Fils Pouilly-Fuisse (Maconnais): Tangy? Check. Juicy? Check? Flinty? Check? Pricey? Only semi-check. $30 A-

- 2017 Quinta do Vallado ‘Quinta do Orgal’ Superior (Douro): Meaty, spicy, and decidedly burger-friendly. $22 B+
- 2017 Lievland Bushvine Pinotage (Paarl): For those times when you need to have artisanal beef jerky in liquid form. $19 B+
- 2017 Mia Nipote Il Rinnovo (Livermore Valley): Savory, chewy, and big, meet at the corner of Well & Crafted. $50 A-
- 2018 FEL Chardonnay (Anderson Valley): Lemons, saline and a bit of grit between its teeth. $33 B+
- 2018 Eden Rift Vineyards Estate Chardonnay (Cienega Valley): White peaches on toast with lemon zest shavings, enjoyed with a sea breeze wafting refreshingly on your face. $53 A-
- 2017 Silver Ghost Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley): For this kind of QPR from NV, your minor oaky transgressions are forgiven. $35 A-
